There are lots of amazing locations in Crested Butte. Whether you want to park and be there or take a hike through the aspens, there's a spot for you! Once you book your session, I will send over an exclusive location guide with all of my favorite spots I have personally scouted for light and scenery. My favorite locations are close to town, but we can also have an off-roading adventure if that's more your speed!
You really can't go wrong in Crested Butte! There are pros and cons to each season though.
Summer:
This is the second most popular time of year in Crested Butte, so there can be a little more crowding but I know of several locations where we aren't likely to run into crowds. July is peak wildflower season!
Fall:
Fall is absolutely stunning in Crested Butte. The aspen leaves are spectacular and the crowds have thinned out. Some areas may not be accessible though, and you'll want to be prepared for temperature drops or snow!
Winter:
Crested Butte is absolutely magical in the winter, but there will be lots of snow- this year we got over 300 inches! There are several spots that will not be accessible, but it can also be fun to have a snowshoe or ski adventure!
Spring:
This is off season in Crested Butte, meaning many shops and restaurants will be closed. Expect some snow and mud, but absolutely no crowds!
